RISEN CHRIST CHILDREN'S CAMP 2006!
oh my gosh.
i just got home from church four hours ago.
and i already miss camp.
like crazy!!!
woke up like at 640am please.
i was late.
so after i washed up,
i quickly prepared honeylemon drink for gentleman. he had sore throat. :(
then i cabbed to tp to meet angie to pass it to her.
then off to church!
i reached church 729am on the dot!
phew.
it's not very nice to be late for my first camp. so yeah.
waited for the kids to come in at 830am.
league was so proud of the seniors this year,
because almost all of us were early or punctual.
yeah. :))
gathered all the groups and we headed off to CAYC!!
my group members were quite cute at the start la okay.
ceri bernadette joanne grace christopher brandon brendan richie!
yeah. seniors were robin jude and i! yeah.
Fellow Group Leader (FGL). jude's idea. heh.
reached the camp site.
looks really good la.
settled down and we started with the games.
we had praise and worship!!
pastoral was the salad bowl.
arts and craft did treasure box.
yeah!
i explained the whole thing to four groups!
so proud of myself.
usually i will be scared and soft.
lunch was fish and chips!
the kids were like forced to eat lettuce and tomatos.
hahaha.
but i helped christopher with his tomato. and grace with her lettuce.
i just love vegetables la.
except for BITTERGOURD!
dinner was rice with fish and toufu.
i was damn full. so didnt eat much.
gave like most of the fish to jude. he was the one who took so much when i told him i not hungry. so... he said give him. yeah.
then bathe time!!
wow. the girls are really slow in bathing man.
the guys are like so fast.
but i bet they are like still damn dirty after bath la.
night games!!!
me and char were the angels and saints for the night games.
it was damn suffering ah.
we had to like hide from the kids for like 1hour plus please.
cause we were not supposed to be obvious. yeah.
i had like tons of mosquito bites la. gosh.
we even hid behing the hall air-con compressor!
it was madness. yeah.
then after night games and praise and worship,
we had SUPPER! yea man! favourite time for the kids.
lights off at 1030pm.
but NO! the kids like took so long to sleep.
guys fell asleep like much earlier than the girls.
seniors bathed then we had de-brief.
woah. it was damn long.
yow fell asleep can. hahahaha. so funny.
it went really well for me la. yupp.
i was so motivated to do better for second day after de-brief.
went to girl seniors' room to sleep.
wah. could not sleep properly ah.
i woke up like five times.
it was so freaking cold.
i didnt even bring blanket. i was like chattering la!!!
and pillow. which made me had a stiff neck the next day. damn pain la!
breakfast was beancurd the next morning!!
yum yum! hahaha. damn nice.
then we had like praise and worship and all again.
freeze and melt was pastoral's activity.
arts and craft? colouring of jigzaw pieces. yeah.
lunch was hokkien mee!! damn good.
and fried chicken wing. yupp.
we had a few group times to practice our skits.
my group sang la.
damn sweet la okay. oh my gosh.
the girls were like angels singing. or like the 4yr old children singing hymns.
the boys were perfect. wow.
and jude and i planned it out well.
the combination made them sound WONDERFUL! haha.
they had bath time and then preparation for the performance.
parents started coming in at like 7pm.
we had a few practices of songs.
then dinner time with parents. for the kids la. yeah.
after dinner we did our performance.
damn good la.
all the groups were so committed. putting in their best efforts.
they were all sweet and cute.
when my group KNOWLEDGE sang, me and jude wanted to cry.
they we SO SO SO good.
bedtime for the kids.
this time round, they slept pretty fast.
bet they were dead tired!
one of the girls, cheryl, was vomitting damn badly.
took care of her till like 11pm plus.
then went to bathe.
came down, took over jude.
but he didnt want to bathe! he wanted to play guitar! wth.
so in the end we had de-brief first.
it was shorter than the first day one.
we improved la. but there were more problem kids la. all seeking attention. yeah.
wrote warm fuzzies.
stupid jude. he went to bathe and made me cut paper for him.
hahahaha. okay la. i was willing to la. since he's in the same group. haha.
all the girls went to sleep.
only trina waited for me! yayness. hahaha.
finished like 3am plus.
went up to sleep.
and it's much better than the first night.
not cold at all.
it was cool and nice.
i slept throughout the night. so well! didnt even wake up once.
but my stiff neck was still there... till now. :(
mass was held straight away after the kids woke up. for the third day.
i bet they were fighting to keep their eyes open.
because i was damn tired la!! hahahaha.
but mass was good!
hymns were well chosen. yupp!

it was nice la.
and milo again!
every morning milo.
damn nice! gabriel gabriel is the best! hahaha.
HENG ALSO!! he was there to help out at all the mealtimes! :)
then we had clean up time.
my group one was the easiest i guess.
it's the kitchen.
small and easy. hahaha.
we even had time for playing BOMB! yay!
then we had prize-giving.
so fun please.
most handsome was benjamin. prettiest was anastasia. they're siblings by the way!
best male senior is ASHLEY!
best female senior is TRICIA!
most cheeky boy small gabriel.
most cheeky girl is alyssa.
most helpful girl, grace!!
and many more. cant remember. heh.
then some parents came to pick them up.
the rest of us took a bus back to risen christ!
children left one by one.
it was the saddest scene in my life.
i was damn sad since i woke up la.
i hate the feeling of ending something. it sucks! yeah.
anyway, we had de-brief again!
the seniors shared a lot.
i was satisfied with everything.
and i seriously cannot wait for camp next year.
to see all the kids again.
hopefully there are weekly or monthly sessions la. yeah.
we went to eat chicken rice at the coffee shop opposite church.
had so much fun please.
we were so TOGETHER and all.
although im new. i was very comfortable with everyone! yeah.
after lunch, we went back to church.
the st. pat's guys were sharing their experiences in secondary school life.
all the stories were like so exciting and funny!!
the stories were so crazy i tell you.
IJ girls will never have such experiences. yeah.
we laughed like crazy i tell you. all stomach ache please!!! haha.
then at about 6pm, we left.
HOME SWEET HOME!!!
i really miss camp and the kids.
some more this is the first time i went for rccl camp.
the seniors were so friendly.
kids too.
except for a handful. like max and bernadette and andrea.
but yeah. max hated me on the first day.
but he opened up to accept me on the second day.
and i was glad.
it was such a great feeling of achievement when you manage to do a little change in a child.
overnight some more! heh.
alrights. that's all for the three days!!!
had so much fun.
nickpat became my bf. cause some fionaxie looking girl say he was.
then the next thing you know, i was supposed to get married with robin.
then they disturb me and jude just because we wore the same shirt on the second day.
but we lied to the kids that we were siblings. and they believed! haha.
and colin and i became bestfriends!!
yupp okay.

tired already.

shall sleep soon.
so drained out from camp. haha.
but i had fun!! so yeah! it's all worthed it! :))
